Local First, Always

Capital Valley Marketing was built in the Sacramento region, for the Sacramento region. Our roots are here, our clients are here, and the businesses we help grow are the ones we run into at the coffee shop, the chamber mixer, and the Saturday farmers market.

That's not a tagline. It shapes how we spend, where we show up, and what we do with what we earn.

We invest in the community that invests in us

We put real dollars back into the organizations that keep small businesses in this region connected and supported. We're proud members and investors in:

When local chambers and business groups thrive, the small businesses in them do too. We'd rather spend our marketing budget here than anywhere else.

We show up to teach

Warm and welcoming desk with a single purple flower, a laptop and some books.

We believe the best marketing partner is one who makes you smarter, not more dependent. That's why Celia regularly leads free workshops and trainings for local business owners through:

No sales pitch, no jargon — just practical marketing that busy owners can actually use.

We give back 10% of our profits, every year

Being community-driven means more than showing up. Each year, Capital Valley Marketing donates 10% of its profits to two causes rooted in this region:

5% to Sacramento City College's Panther Scholars Program

Supporting students pursuing hands-on careers — including SCC's aircraft mechanics program. This one is personal to our founder:

"My dad was an airplane mechanic and ran his own small business. He passed away when I was 19. Supporting the Panther Scholars program is how I honor him — and help the next generation of mechanics get the training to build their careers." — Celia Surridge, Founder

5% to the Sacramento Tree Foundation

Because we believe climate change is real and local businesses have a part to play. The Sacramento Tree Foundation also donated the trees and shrubs that helped plant the orchard at the Rancho Cordova Food Hub — a project Celia led as part of Leadership Rancho Cordova, Class XIX.

Good in, good out

When you work with Capital Valley Marketing, your investment doesn't just grow your business. It helps fund a student's career, plant a tree, and strengthen the community we all share. That's local first, always.
